Helping You Feel Beautiful

About ME

Having spent many years studying Art and Design I took the typical route and ended up doing something completely different with my life. Years later I rediscovered my love for art and design, I exhibited and even managed to sell some of my art work!

In 2016 I got married and loved planning  our wedding, especially the makeup part. I soon realised that I could combine my artistic flair, love and skill with bridal makeup.

I'm country girl at heart and my love for animals and the environment shines through in the passion I have for not allowing animals to suffer for our benefit and the trade.

All of the products I use are cruelty free and many are vegan friendly, I also try to use British products where possible to minimise the impact on the environment.

My professional background helps me to understand and listen to what brides really want and I take this responsibility very seriously.

I cover Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and London.  I am VTCT level 2 trained in Makeup at Sarah Artistry.

Cruelty Free Products

First and foremost I am an animal lover and I strongly believe that animals should not suffer for our beauty by condemning them to a life of pure misery.

A lot of people I speak to have a misconception that if a product is Cruelty Free, Vegan, ‘Green’ or Ethically Sourced then the product becomes an inferior brand, this really simple is not true. I use some incredible brands such as Illamasqua, Hellen E, Charlote Tilbury, Cosmetic A La Carte, Urban Decay, Kat Von D, Liz Earle and The Ordinary to name a few.  The cosmetic and beauty industry are taking great leaps in working towards eradicating this old fashion and quite frankly a cruel practice.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

I create a relaxed and enjoyable experience, taking all the stress and worry away that you may have around your makeup and skin care routine leading up to and on your wedding day. I want you to be completely happy during your appointment and also with your finished look! I test all the brands that I use, to ensure that they live up to your expectations as a client and  to mine being the makeup artist. My goal is to provide a fun and friendly environment while helping you look fabulous for your special day.

The Booking Process

It starts here and its easy as cherry pie!

Once you make an enquiry we can discuss your requirements via telephone or email..

If I am not available on your required day then I will give you the details of a trusted MUA that I can recommend.

Once agreed, I would require a non-refundable £100 deposit to secure your date in the diary. I will then send you confirmation of your booking. That's it - done, see, easy peasy!!

Next stage - book a trial

Trials generally take place at my home and last between 2 –3 hours. . I will be in contact a few days before your trial to make sure all is ok and to find out how you would like to pay for your trial (BACS in advance of your trial or cash on the day of).

Leading up to your trial think about what you want for your wedding day, head over to www.wedi-quette.com and select the secrets tab to read my tips on how to do this.

Your trial is there to experiment with styles and to ensure you are happy with your look.

Any remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days prior to your wedding date.

That's it, a quick run through the process!

Travel

Mileage is charged at a rate of 45p per mile from my address CM23 Any additional parking and / or congestion charges are also payable.

If it is not practical to travel on the day of your event i.e. limited time available, or severe weather conditions have been forecast then hotel accommodation will be payable.

Cancellations

I of course hope that you do not need to use this section, however I do understand that sometimes things happen and you may need to cancel your booking.

Deposits and trial fees are non-refundable.

If a wedding or part of a booking is cancelled within four weeks of your wedding date, the full balance is required in full.

If you decide to cancel your booking after your trial has taken place, the deposit will be retained along with trial costs.

In exceptional circumstances I may need to cancel a booking. This has never happened before and I hope it never will. However, in the event that I need to cancel a booking all attempts to find an alternative artist will be made. If this is not possible or is unacceptable to you then your deposit will be refunded.

All cancellations must be made in writing.
